Document Detective and EDRS may also be subject to export controls imposed by the U.S. Department of Commerce (DoC), Export Administration Regulations (EAR) [740.6(a)(1) & (2)].  Licensee agrees to comply with all applicable national and international laws that may apply to the Software, as well as any end-use, end-user, and destination restrictions regarding export restrictions of the jurisdiction in which the Software is used or to or from which the Software is exported.

Distribution Limitations and Copyright Notice

Document Detective and EDRS are the proprietary property of SRS Technologies. No part of these programs or their associated documentation may be copied, distributed, transmitted, transcribed, stored in a retrieval system, or translated into any human or computer language in any form or means, electronic, mechanical, magnetic, manual or otherwise, without the express written permission of SRS Technologies.  Both Document Detective and EDRS incorporate patent pending methods and technologies developed by SRS.

Limitations and Disclaimers

There is inherent risk of compromising information when sharing or transferring electronic documents.While the software is intended to reduce such risks, it does not eliminate the risk of compromising information. Improper use of this software may increase the risk of the inadvertent disclosure of compromising information.

The Software’s electronic document security scanning process is highly redundant, which makes the process slow. Security and confidence in the review process is considered paramount to the processing time required to review an electronic document.

The Software was designed to work with the majority of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel documents, but because of many different configurations and features built into Microsoft software, we cannot guarantee that the Software will process all Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel documents. Assumes the software is installed and used properly.

English Language Limitations

Document Detective only comes in an English language edition, and we do not plan to offer any other language editions at this time. The keyword files used by Document Detective are compressed Unicode (Ascii) text files, and my not support some character sets.
