Defense Systems Directorate

The Defense Systems Directorate (DSD) provides support to acquisition programs specializing in the horizontal integration and coordination of acquisition organizations, assisting various government customers in developing strategic courses of action. Our development and integration of management information, studies, briefings, and issue resolution strategies across various disciplines helps ensure success for program and Product Managers.

DSD directly assists PMs in the presentation of their systems/concepts world-wide through a highly responsive combination of skilled system acquisition/defense operations analysts and a superior multi-media graphics department, providing unparalleled capability for Project Offices. DSD expertise is applicable for any system, from concept development through fielding and post-development support.

A unique product developed within SRS is the Comment Tracking System (CTS). This software program provides the ability to electronically coordinate, exchange and record information between multiple dispersed organization, such as the material developer, prime contractor and the user in the field. This comment tracking system is being used by the THAAD Product Office, Lockheed Martin, and the soldiers of 1-6 Air Defense Artillery Battalion (Ft Bliss, TX).
